Phoenix Rose is an Ayahuasca based healing center located in a beautiful piece of jungle outside of Iquitos, Peru. It was established after a young man from the US took a visit to what was formally Phoenix Ayahuasca in order to work with the medicine to overcome his own issues in life and found himself forever changed and directed through the medicine. During this time the previous owners were going through a trasition of needing to sell and move on.
After some hard ceremonies the medicine and the work began to give a strong calling to for him to stick with it. He was told by a shaman Don Javier Arevalo Shahuano, his current teacher and standing shaman at Phoenix Rose, that he should continue to learn from the plant medicines and that working with medicine is where his heart is the happiest.
Throughout these experience and after some serious challanges along the way he decided to fully invest into rebuilding what was formally Phoenix Ayahuasca. The Phoenix began to rise again. Keeping “Phoenix” as part of the name was done so to respect the former owners for what they had built and the symbolism behind the bird was something the new owner himself could easily relate to.
The addition of the word “Rose” was included as a play on words given it is the name of the owner’s daughter and also symbolizes that the Phoenix is now flying from it’s ashes in the present moment.
